Keep it moving! SaltDrop founder Dino Malvone sat down with ET to share his simple tips for staying active during the busy holiday season.

“The holidays are magical, but they can also be overwhelming. Movement is like hitting the reset button. It gives you space to clear your mind and reconnect with yourself when life feels chaotic,” he explains.

And if completing a full fitness regimen sounds like too much to take on, Malvone believes now is not the time to sweat it.

“Be flexible and let go of the all-or-nothing mindset. You don’t need a gym or a full hour to get in a great workout. … A little bit of movement goes a long way toward keeping your energy up and your stress down,” he notes.

Some ways to do this: “A quick bodyweight flow, a walk, or one of SaltDrop’s one-song stretches can make a big difference. The key is to stay consistent, even if that means moving for just 10 minutes.”

When it comes to following a healthy diet, the workout instructor has the same approach.

“Instead of restricting yourself, focus on adding balance to your day. Start your morning with something nourishing. By making intentional choices early on, it’s easier to enjoy holiday treats without feeling like you’ve overdone it.”

Malvone even reminds himself of this flexible mindset when setting intentions for the new year.

“Let your goals evolve with you. Fitness and wellness aren’t static, they’re tools to help you feel good in your life. Keep checking in with yourself and adjusting as needed,” he spills.

As for his own habits, “I’m really into recovery and mindfulness like somatic stretching, breathwork, and mobility work. They’re not just good for your body, but also your nervous system.”
